Babcock and Wilcox, London, England.

I designed a heating tube support system for their nuclear heat exchangers, which spread the load among several supports so that in the event of the failure of one support the adjacent supports would carry the load.

Armstrong Cork, London, England.

I redesigned a mixer chute that had a machined casting that was over four feet long and had a cylindrical taper which was very expensive to machine.
My design was more efficient and eliminated all of the machining.

For Arnold's, Branbridges, Kent, England

I redesigned a sled conveyor for 20-ton rolls of paper. With this design, I halved the parts list and instead of making the expected loss on this conveyor, they made a profit that exceeded my salary for that year. My design also eliminated a time consuming conversion process that was previously needed to account for different sized mandrels.

For Wybron Engineering in Colorado Springs Colorado,

I redesigned a theatrical lighting unit that outperformed the previous design by a factor greater than sixty.

For BAE in Carrollton Texas, I designed and built a working prototype of a manual letter sorting device for a major overnight shipper. On it's first test with unskilled sorters it outperformed their existing system.
